Michelle Rijnen Msc

Mainly active in Mental Healthcare, Primary Care and Hospital Care

“I am keen on finding a suitable solution for social issues where different interests and visions play a role, so that the parties involved get closer to each other and get confidence to take the next step together.”

When dealing with complex issues, Michelle strives to bring together different interests and vision in one widely supported and clear advice. By connecting parties and supporting them in structuring their own knowledge, she contributes to taking the next step.

Michelle studied biomedical sciences at the University of Utrecht. The work in a lab did not suit her, but researching processes and exploring solutions do. During her master management & policy and her follow-up research at VU University Amsterdam she focused on various issues related to socially responsible innovations in healthcare. The desire to see more direct impact from her work led to a switch to the Dutch Cancer Society. There Michelle was busy developing a strategy that actually meets the needs of the patient and healthcare professional. Since April 2018 Michelle works as a consultant at SiRM.
