Wouter Versluijs

Wouter's main motivation is to make Dutch healthcare future-proof, so that we can maintain accessibility, quality and solidarity in a changing society. In-depth data analyses often form an important basis for this. You can then have constructive discussions to jointly implement changes in practice.
During his studies, Wouter realized how important a well-functioning healthcare system is for our society and how complex the challenges of the future are. After graduating cum laude with a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Philosophy, he started working as a Data Scientist in healthcare in 2016, helping hospitals implement data-driven improvements.
From 2018 to 2024, he worked as an expert and manager at the international consultancy firm McKinsey, where he helped clients throughout the entire healthcare chain. He lived in New York for two years, helping American governments improve healthcare for its citizens. He was also one of the driving forces at Stichting Het Potentieel Pakken, where he worked with nurses on the work floor for a year.
Wouter has led strategic projects for all types of healthcare organizations, often with a data component. For example, he developed dashboards for American states to monitor the health of their residents, he co-wrote the long-term strategy for Dutch health insurers, and he helped VVT locations and hospitals improve their planning and scheduling.
